Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (IP-VPN) is a private, wide area network, provided virtually over a shared packetised network based on Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) technology. By making use of the VPN, customers are able to enjoy the same benefits as those associated with a conventional private network implemented using expensive dedicated leased line circuits.
The MPLS IP-VPN service provides customers with connectivity that extends between different branch offices. The essence of this service is to allow Vodacom Mozambique to provide connectivity to business entities with requirements to connect to their branches across the country.
